Visitor Development Officer (fixed term for 20 months) 
Can you help uncover the story of the Stour Valley for visitors; dig into its rich heritage, fabulous landscapes and local produce and help local businesses to develop their visitor offer?
Working in a small team dedicated to conserving and enhancing the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Stour Valley on the Essex/Suffolk border, you’ll deliver this LEADER funded project to provide an exciting programme of activity throughout 2019/20.
If you have a passion for visitor development in a sustainable and environmentally sensitive context, excellent project management experience and the skills to develop a marketing plan to deliver promotional objectives for the area, we want to hear from you. Project Officers – across both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) 
£18,137 p.a. pro rata Fixed term for 6 months. 18.5 hrs p/w, 3 posts available. 
An exciting opportunity to work in two of England’s finest landscapes, the Dedham Vale and Suffolk Coast & Heaths Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to deliver one of 3 special projects: 
Project Officer – AONB 50th Anniversary – Ref: SCC03527 providing opportunities for people to get involved in the Year of Green Action in special coastal and countryside locations.
Project Officer – AONB 50th Anniversary – Ref: SCC03529 something to celebrate, and an opportunity to make your mark and raise awareness of these nationally important landscapes. 
Project Officer – Stour Valley Path 25th Anniversary – Ref: SCC03531 deliver a series of access, interpretation and enjoyment projects along this 60-mile regional waymarked route. 
You will have: 
• A passion for the environment with the motivation to deliver positive outcomes 
• Experience of project planning and delivery 
• Confident communication skills and excellent approach to team work
