Suffolk Coast and Heaths Management Plan

A new Management Plan for the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB was published in June 2008. The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (CRoW Act) requires local authorities to review Management Plans for AONBs every five years and this Plan contains details of the work  to be carried out during the period 2008-13 to care for the AONB.

The new plan is the second Management Plan published for the Suffolk Coast and Heaths since the CRoW Act became law, and builds on the earlier plan, published in 2002. Twenty six organisations have signed a commitment to implement the Plan and share a common vision for the long term care of the AONB.

The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Management Plan can be downloaded below. It is divided into six sections and a shorter summary of the plan is also available.
