Sandlings Walk Snape Modification - July 2015 - See the new route marked on a map and the directions below:

New permanent diversion to avoid roads and take a more scenic route.

Being careful of motor traffic, when safe to do so, cross the busy B1069 road and head north across the bridge over the River Alde. Turn right immediately after crossing the river to join the Sailors Path, heading east towards Snape Warren along the river wall. On reaching a wooded area and a bench turn left at the path T Junction and continue on the Sailors Path in the direction of Aldeburgh. Walk through the woodland (the path is often muddy) which boarders the Snape Warren Heathland. On reaching the road go straight ahead and you now join the original route to follow the road towards the tall farm buildings of Rookery Farm. The route is signed with Sandlings Walk discs.

OS maps and Cicerone guides will be updated in the future.
