At the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty we believe that people come to the Suffolk Coast because they appreciate the diversity of natural and cultural heritage. They love coming back, again and again, to enjoy its special unspoilt qualities.
In Jan 2017 we launched the "Getting the Green Edge" Guide, aimed at supporting local businesses to increase their 'green' credentials and attract more visitors. See the full document here.
We encourage visitors to support the area, and stay longer all year round. There are a wide variety of conservation activities visitors can do while they visit – and below is selection of what’s on offer. You can see these and more dates on our event calendar. You can also read more about the project in the introductory newsletter from June 2016.
Not only can you join in with day-long/half-day activities you can take a FREE walk with a local Suffolk Coast Greeter or come on a week-long conservation group holiday with Wild Days Conservation or Join In! with the many AONB volunteer activities! There are lots of ways to Join In! and get more out of a visit to The Suffolk Coast!
