COVID-19 Update: Please STAY AT HOME

Update on 30/3/20 5pm

Thinking of visiting?

PLEASE DON’T. It is clear that the best thing to do right now is to STAY AT HOME, PROTECT THE NHS, SAVE LIVES. Heading to a beauty spot is not essential travel and will not limit the spread of the virus. Please #StayAtHome. Now is not the time to visit.

The Government has published its Green Space guidance:

Contacting us

In accordance with latest Government guidance the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB team are working remotely. If you would like to contact us you can still use our usual telephone number 01394 445225 or email [email protected]. Alternatively, please email the relevant team member directly. We will respond to you as soon as we are able.

Events and meetings

Our events and work parties, and those planned by our partners are being cancelled, postponed, or conducted remotely where possible. If you are due to attend an event or meeting, please contact the organiser.

Enjoying the landscape safely

If you are able to go out the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is still open for restorative fresh air and sunshine, exercise, and mood boosting as long as you follow the latest Government guidance. With 155 square kilometres of estuaries, quiet woodlands, windswept coasts and mile after mile of footpath or bridleway there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the outdoors safely if you are able to.

Supporting local businesses

Many local independent businesses across the Suffolk Coast are working out how they can continue to deliver produce and services while keeping everyone safe. We would like to support our friends during this immensely difficult time and suggest where possible you continue to support our local businesses.

Stay safe
