The Woodbridge Riverside Trust were delighted to show off Sae Wylfing’s new mast and rigging, which was decked with bunting for the Jubilee celebrations!

Sae Wylfing is a half-length replica of the Sutton Hoo Burial Ship and a working vessel, currently moored in Woodbridge opposite the historic Tide Mill. Her new mast was part-funded by a grant from the Coast & Heaths AONB Community & Conservation Fund.

This week Cllr Andrew Reid, Chairman of the Coast & Heaths AONB Joint Advisory Committee, visited to see the new mast and helped Bryan Knibbs, Chair of Woodbridge Riverside Trust, to secure the rigging.

This completes her repairs/refit for the time being, and Woodbridge Riverside Trust were very grateful to the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for awarding the grant.

The Woodbridge Riverside Trust were also very grateful to the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Amenity and Accessibility Fund for a generous grant towards improving the lighting in the John Gibbins Gallery, which is increasingly in demand for exhibitions and events.
