Volunteers help staff on conservation projects to increase the biodiversity within the AONB and wider project areas.

Jobs and tasks include:

  1. Surveys
  2. Habitat management and creation
  3. Biodiversity projects
  4. Educational events

The work will depend on the season as well as the amount and type of jobs that need to be done.

These conservation initiatives are vital as they help the AONB fulfil its commitment to the Colchester Declaration, which is the AONB network’s response to the biodiversity crisis.

To find out more about the volunteering role, please contact our AONB Nature Recovery Officer, Alex Moore da Luz.
