Promoted Route Volunteers

Volunteer assembling a route sign

Promoted Route Volunteers survey our walks twice a year recording obstructions, vandalism, erosion and other potential issues.

They undertake some simple maintenance tasks, such as cutting back overhanging vegetation and replacing missing waymark discs.

Our Promoted Routes are:

  • The Suffolk Coast Path
  • Stour and Orwell Walk
  • Sandlings Walk
  • Outstanding Landscape Walks
  • Explorer Guides

Find out more and download a host of different walking guides.

Surveying one of these routes is a great way to help look after the AONB and a fantastic opportunity to get out and about in the fresh air. Full guidance will be provided so no experience is necessary!

For more information on any of the volunteering opportunities and roles within the AONB, please contact Countryside Project Officers Neil Lister or Emma Black.
